The right wall of the lock has been rebuilt and the dam to the right is intact. The left wall of the lock has been cut down and the channel widened to the left. But, the left lock wall and gate pocket is still visible. Flow is away from the bottom. Two railroads are on benches to the left of the stream. One was formerly the Erie.

The dam had a quarter circle crest just visible below the water at the top of the view. Originally, the area in the foreground was water.
